Leftists in the California legislature are trying to secretly enact a new law that would require everyone in the Golden State to show proof of “vaccination” for the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) in order to do pretty much anything.
It started with a gut-and-amend of a transportation bill, and could soon morph into something else now that all eyes are on the situation.
AB 455, a bill that would have authorized the Bay Area Toll Bill Authority to designate transit-only traffic lanes on the San Francisco – Oakland Bay Bridge, was reportedly on the verge of being stripped of its original language and turned into a Chinese Virus “vaccine passport” bill.
There is some chatter that AB 455 has been killed, at least for the current legislative session, but that does not mean that Californians should let their guard down. Chances are this thing will be resurrected again and again under different names and bill numbers until it is eventually forced into law.
“Gut-and-amend bills can be particularly insidious,” reported the California Globe.
“This secretive process often leaves lawmakers, as well as the public, little or no time to review entirely new legislation dropped into an old bill. And usually, the subject of the legislation has nothing to do with the bill’s previous legislative issue.”
The gut-and-amend process typically happens with bills related to budget issues and special interests. It is grossly abused on a routine basis, but because Americans generally do nothing to try to stop it, it persists without obstruction.
Even if AB 455 is dead, which is unconfirmed, there is also AB 1102 to keep an eye on, which could also get gutted and amended to turn it into a vaccine passport law.
“Although that language is also not yet in print, discussions had been under way to insert that language into AB 1102 by Assembly member Evan Low,” reported JP Supra.
“However, in light of the mandate discussion surrounding the proposed AB 455, it remains to be seen whether the alternative discretionary vaccine mandate proposal will gain any traction. Or this alternative could be a compromise should the formal vaccine mandate prove unlikely to pass.”
Above all, it is critical for Californians — and all Americans for that matter — to remain vigilant. Keep a close eye on what your legislators are doing under the cover of darkness to quickly stop them from taking away your right to live as an unvaccinated person.
This is no longer mere hearsay. If Americans fail to defend their constitutional rights at all costs, the demons in government will surely seize what few of them remain, forcing everyone to get injected as a condition of living in the “new normal.”
“California’s Department of Public Health and Department of Fair Employment and Housing would be tasked with enforcement powers on the new law, enabling the latter agency to ‘bring a civil action for a violation for this section including injunctive and other appropriate relief,'” reports California Political Review about how things would change under a vaccine passport scheme.
“The law also states that employees whose contracts begin after the enactment of the law and refuse vaccine mandate compliance would be able to be fired ‘to the extent allowable under state and federal law.'”
Given past precedent, a vaccine mandate and passport scheme in California would likely be highly regulated in such a way as to bring into rapid compliance all state-licensed businesses.
